I’ve been planning to make beans with smoked sausages for some time and this weekend I finally managed to do so. This recipe is very easy but it might take more time to get your meal ready… it all depends whether you choose to soak the beans or not. I’ve always soaked beans as I find it cuts cooking time and the beans usually turn out to be tenderer (not always though!). If you cook the beans in tap water that is hard your beans may never get tender. Many other cooks suggest that you don’t necessarily have to soak them, that it’s all just a matter of preference.
